Lennox Cato Antiques and Works of Art was established in 1978 and has matured over the years to become one of the countries most recognised and leading antiques establishments. Husband and wife team, Lennox and Susan Cato, pride themselves on the service and commitment they provide to their clients, many of whom return time and again. Their motto "we never have problems, only solutions" confirms their service is just as important as the product itself. Lennox's passion for 18th and 19th century English furniture led him to become one of the furniture specialists on the famous BBC 1, Antiques Roadshow. His other credits include winning the BACA Award for Best General Antique Dealer in the South of England in 2003, a council member of the BADA (British Antiques Dealers Association) for 12 years including a year as Country Vice Chairman in 2008. In 2015 Lennox was proudly admitted as the 100th Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Art Scholars. In 2020 he was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Kent and in 2021 was accepted onto the panel of the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF). Always with a keen eye on quality and design, Lennox Cato has built up an international reputation with clients from around the world, selling to both private clients and interior decorators as well as museums and institutions. As members of both the BADA (British Antiques Dealers Association) and LAPADA (The Association of Art and Antiques Dealers), clients know they can buy with confidence as a code of conduct is always abided by.
