It's all in the Detail

Fri 29th June 2018 - Fri 6th July 2018
1 The Square, Church Street, Edenbridge, Kent TN8 5BD

Please join us for our annual Summer Selling Exhibition. This year we will be honoring the legacy of Thomas Chippendale who celebrates the 300th year since his birth.

Thomas Chippendale was an extremely remarkable man. Starting off as an apprentice cabinet maker in Yorkshire his career went on to provide the aristocracy of this country with homes beautifully furnished from top to bottom. He often boasted that he could provide interiors from the servants quarters to the state rooms. His book The Gentleman and Cabinet-maker's Director, became internationally renowned and so influencing furniture and interior design right across Europe and America.

During the week long exhibition, which will also display recent acquisitions, Lennox Cato will also present a talk on Thomas Chippendale.

The talk will take place on Wednesday 4th July beginning with a welcome coffee at 10.30. The talk will commence at 11am with questions after and a light lunch will be served at 12.30. Tickets are priced at £35 per person and bookable in advance. Please call the showrooms or email to book your place.

A complimentary catalogue is available upon request.
