This beautiful fine silver-gilt cased and red enamelled clock was retailed by Tiffany & Co, circa 1910.
The sterling silver-gilt case is numbered 12208. on the gilt interior of the door.
A minute repeater movement, original hands and oval shaped dial. Swiss made by Mathey Tissot and numbered 7316. The clock movement has 15 jewelled lever movement. It is in full working order which is guaranteed for one year when purchased.
The whole is neatly housed in a red enamelled sterling silver gilt decorated case, in the Chinese Chinoiserie design. The whole stands on a solid block of crystal which is Tigers Eye. This gemstone apparently protects against forces of evil, it restores confidence, anxiety and increases wealth and vitality. The little faceted button on the crown of the case, is made of rock crystal and is the repeat button when pressed down. Rock crystal protects against negative energies.
The clock retains the original tooled gilt decorated moroccan leather travelling case.
