A fine Irish 18th century harewood, burr-yew and marquetry semi-elliptical commode.
By William Moore of Dublin, circa 1790.
Crossbanded overall in tulipwood and with green stained lines, the top with segments radiating from a fan motif and with a trailing foliate border above a simulated fluted frieze, centred by a drawer.
Oval panelled door enclosing a shelf, flanked by further oval panels on square tapering legs.

Remains of printed paper label to the reverse for '...Trahan Co., Ltd. ....Dublin.

Provenance; bought form Hotspur in 1976.
