A very rare and unusual Regency period, ivory ground papier mache rectangular tray With fine gold flakes onto the back ground known as 'nashiji lacquer'.
Having finely painted floral border of peonies .
Possibly supplied by the London firm Dyson & Benson of Clerkenwell.

Condition
Good. Crackling as one would expect with papier mache of this age.
